Hello and welcome! 

My name is Julie Guilbeau, and I am an entertainment artist from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I have a Bachelors of Fine Arts in performing arts design and technology with a concentration in scenic design from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

My training was heavily focused on theatre, but I enjoy extending my work to all sorts of performance art and entertainment. My favorite things to do are fabricate and design puppets and scenery, but I am a true jack of all trades. I love to learn and experiment with new techniques and materials. Aside from puppets and scenery, I am also proficient in scale model and miniature making, scenic painting, scenic carpentry, costume and character design, hand and machine sewing (both miniature scale and full scale), prop making, and computer assisted design (i.e. VectorWorks). 

Not only do I love getting my hands dirty, but I also love to consume theatre and film, particularly stop motion animation and horror movies. I hope to build a career around these industries.

On this website you will find my work throughout my college education and professional positions thus far, as well as my self taught mediums, such as illustration and doll customizing. 

I am incredibly ambitious and am not afraid of new mediums and learning through the people and world around me. I am currently available for full or part time hire. Let's work together!
