Hello and welcome!

My name is Julianna Guilbeau, but you can call me Julie! I am a performing arts designer and technician from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I am currently finishing up my Bachelor's of Fine Arts in performing arts design and technology at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

My training is heavily focused on theatre, but I enjoy extending my work to all sorts of performance art. My favorite things to do are fabricate and design puppets and scenery, but I am a true jack of all trades. I love to learn and have found through the years that I love to do anything creative and challenging. I specialize in puppets and scenery, but I am also proficient in model making (as small as 1/2 inch scale), theatrical painting, scenic carpentry, costume and character design, hand and machine sewing (both miniature scale and full scale), prop making, and computer assisted design (i.e. VectorWorks).

Not only do I love getting my hands dirty, but I also love to consume theatre and film, particularly stop motion animation and horror movies. I hope to build a career around these industries as I complete my higher education and enter the workforce.

On this website you will find my work throughout my college education and professional positions thus far, as well as my self taught mediums, such as illustration and doll customizing.

I am incredibly ambitious and am not afraid of new mediums and learning through the people and world around me. Starting late May 2026, I will be available for full time hire. Let's work together!
