The Brothers

In Ubu Roi, King Wenceslas has three sons, but only one of them speaks. We decided instead of casting two non-speaking characters, to just create two flat cutouts of actor Ella Greenway, who played the hero Prince Bourgeleslas. The Brothers are simple foam cutouts of an image of Ella out of costume. We then roughly drew on her costume and painted it over the cutouts. The "Charlie Brown hands" are a hilarious unexpected addition due to printing issues, but we ended up falling in love with the Brothers' shortened arms and tiny cartoon hands.
