Twisted Fairytale
For this project, my classmates and I were tasked to create a scenic design and model based off a randomly selected fairytale with a randomly selected "twist." I ended up with a homestead take on Jack and the Beanstalk. This was a particularly challenging project for me because Jack and the Beanstalk has a sort of farm setting already. I used a Mulberry Street miniature greenhouse build kit as my base, and created a scene involving a giant tomato plant growing through the roof of the greenhouse instead of a beanstalk. I used bright colors and lots of false plants to bring this design into an idealistic farm life setting.

Paper Model Exercise
These photos are from a class exercise from a Scenic Design class I participated in. We were given PDFs of paper model foldable scenery and tasked to create a scene. I believe the play we were working with for this particular exercise was "The Importance of Being Ernest."
